Adult Education at St. Nicholas
Religious education is not just for children. All of us need opportunities to continue to learn and grow in our faith. Adult Ed allows us to discover and explore the teachings and Traditions of Orthodox Christianity while also connecting with our fellow parishioners and learners.
Our Adult Ed class for the 2023-2024 year meets on Sundays following Divine Liturgy, at approximately noon. This is the same time as our Youth Church School, so parents can come upstairs for Adult Ed while their children are downstairs!
As of January 14, 2024, we are offering our Orthodox Christianity 101 class! Anyone who is interested in learning the basic teachings and practices of the Orthodox Christian faith is welcome to attend! This class is especially important for those who are interested in joining the Orthodox Church. For this class, we will read and discuss the book Welcome to the Orthodox Church by Frederica Mathewes-Green. Copies will be available in our parish bookstore or at this link.
